Each summer the Community Education Department of Shelby County Schools will be offering Health classes. Classes are taught by certified high school Health teachers. Students have the opportunity to take classes such as Health and Driver Education outside of normal school hours. These classes are available to any student that meets the prerequisites of each class.

Health class will be at Shelby Co. Instructional Services Center in Alabaster. Students will meet on the first day and receive packets, books, and directions. Students will then do a self-directed study at home. Students will receive a grade and credit upon satisfactory completion of the class. The class is intended for outgoing 8th-grade students and current high school students. Health is offered in summer only.
