Project SEARCH is a 1-year transition to work program so young adults with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities can learn work and life skills in order to gain competitive employment.  High school students who are on an Individual Education Program (IEP) and in their last year of high school eligibility in Shelby County, Pelham City, or Alabaster City Schools are eligible to apply.  Each applicant must be a Vocational Rehabilitation client.  The most important criterion for acceptance into Project SEARCH is a desire to achieve competitive employment.
