Shelby County Schools Professional Development Department provides the following supports for candidates pursuing National Board Certification:

  • 2 days of paid PD to be used at any point throughout the certification process. 

  • Paid participation in the UM Regional Inservice Center's Candidate Support Program.

  • Annual Shelby County NBCT Conference

  • Zone Support

STIPENDS ARE USUALLY PAID IN DECEMBER

If you are interested in training to become a district candidate support provider (Professional Learning Facilitator) for new candidates, please see the email from Dr. Walker containing the form to fill out and who to enter as your sub payer.
