Driver Education Class (Summer)
Each summer the Community Education Department of Shelby County Schools will be offering Driver Education. Driver Education will be held at Helena High School. Classes are taught by certified high school Driver Education teachers. Students have the opportunity to take classes such as Driver Education outside of normal school hours. These classes are available to any student that meets the prerequisites of each class.
Driver Education students must have 50 miles of driving experience and a Driver's Permit before class starts. Students will receive a grade, credit, and vessel (Boating) certification upon satisfactory completion of this class. Students may also take their driving test with the instructor eliminating the need to go to the DMV.
