Calera High School went into secure perimeter protocols today due to an incident that was occurring in the community near the school. Staff secured the areas for which they were responsible and students stayed inside until law enforcement gave the all-clear. The secure perimeter was out of precaution and students and staff were not in danger. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. We appreciate the partnership with the Calera Police Department and their clear communication during this incident.

EXTENDED!! The registration deadline for the Mr. & Miss Winter CHS pageant has been extended to Tuesday, November 7th!

Seniors and Senior Parents,
We are very excited that CaHS will be hosting several guests from our community who will be participating as interviewers for our senior mock interviews, which are scheduled for this Thursday, November 9th. Seniors who have Dr. Rees or Mrs. McAdams have been working on their resumes, which they will share with our guests. This is an important event that provides an opportunity for students to learn from professionals how to polish their resumes and their interview skills in order to land that job, scholarship, or academic opportunity they really want. This will count as an important grade in their English classes, and it is very important that they are prepared. Please encourage your student to dress professionally Thursday, and to arrive to school on time.
