Wednesday, Feb. 25 the boys basketball teams will be competing in the Elite 8 against Spain Park at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
The game will begin at 2:15 PM.

Students who plan to attend the game will have attendance excused beginning at 12:00 PM, provided they have been checked out by a parent at that time or have been pre-checked out in person---reminder we do not accept check-outs via phone or email.

All students must follow the normal checkout process before leaving campus.

If you attend the game, you must email Ms. Whitt or Mr. Whiting a picture of yourself at the game for it to be excused. Please include your full name in the email.

Interested in being a Lifeguard? Brierfield Ironworks Park is holding lifeguarding classes April 17-19 for good swimmers 16 years and up. Students who complete and pass the course will be eligible to apply to work at the park lifeguarding this summer and next.

Area Champs
Girls Can Construction Camp will be held June 9–11, 2026, from 8:00 AM–3:00 PM at the Career Technical Education Center in Columbiana. This FREE, hands-on camp is open to girls currently in 8th–10th grades across Shelby County. Participants will explore carpentry, welding, and electrical trades while completing projects they’ll take home on the final day. Lunch, snacks, and drinks are provided daily. Space is limited to 45 students, and campers are selected through an application process.
