Each month at Calera High School, we focus on a character word that reflects who we are as a Capturing Kids’ Hearts ❤️ school. For October, that word was Self-Direct, leading yourself to who you want to be by making positive choices and taking ownership of your actions. CHS Auxiliaries and Medders Family Farm are partnering to bring you homemade peanut butter, honey, and holiday treats! We're offering multiple flavors in both smooth and crunchy varieties.
Everything used in their products is all natural/gluten free and has no added sweeteners/artificial ingredients or preservatives. Their peanut butter is less caloric than store-bought brands, and their unsweetened peanut butter is keto and diabetic friendly. Contact any dance team, majorette, or color guard member to order by Dec 1st!

Senior Financial Aid Night

The Alabama Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (ASDAR) will award two $1,500 scholarships to deserving seniors, based on academic merit and need, at their 2026 State Conference.

The national society, NSDAR, also offers dozens of scholarships. These opportunities are available to graduating seniors, as well as current college students.

The deadline to apply for the ASDAR scholarships is 1/9/2026.

On Friday, our Calera High School sophomores traveled to Columbiana to tour the facilities at CTEC and take part in the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce’s “Connect 2 Careers” Fair! Students explored more than 30 companies from across the county representing every career cluster. They networked with company representatives and even participated in hands-on activities that showcased real-world career opportunities.
A huge thank you to CTEC, the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, and our amazing Career Coach, Miss Hope Finley, for organizing and supporting this valuable learning experience for our students! 💙🦅

Several young women from Calera High School were selected to attend STEM Goes Red, where they explored exciting career opportunities for women in STEM fields. 💡🔬❤️

🎭 What an incredible weekend for our Calera High Theatre students! 2025 District Trumbauer was a huge success, and our talented Eagles gave it their all — earning 16 Individual Events advancing to STATE! 🎉💙
