Mrs. Stevi Sims is principal of Forest Oaks Elementary School. She was the assistant principal of Forest Oak. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Auburn University in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology in 1996. Mrs. Sims then went on to the University of Montevallo where she received her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration in 2002 and in 2012 she received her Educational Specialist Degree in Administration.
Mrs. Sims worked as the speech/language pathologist for Maude Saunders Elementary School in DeFuniak Springs, Florida in 1997 as well as for Pinedale Elementary School in Enterprise, Alabama from 1998-2000. After moving to Birmingham, she was employed with Meadow View Elementary School in Shelby County from 2000-2005. At this time she went on to become an assistant principal at Vincent Elementary School, Chelsea Intermediate School and then Forest Oaks Elementary School. In 2019, she became the principal of Forest Oaks and has loved every minute of it!
Mrs. Sims believes in promoting a strong work ethic and nurturing a love for learning in all of her students and faculty. Mrs. Sims is married to Roy Sims, III and they have two children, Hayes and Madi Claire. Her interests include spending quality time with family, reading both professional and non-fiction books, and traveling.
