Forest Oaks Elementary School officially opened its doors in January 2014. It serves students in grades K-5 in the fast growing Chelsea area, along with Chelsea Park Elementary School.

Since its incorporation in 1996, the Chelsea community continues to grow at a rapid pace resulting from new home construction and annexation. Chelsea has been ranked the number one city for families in the entire state of Alabama.
