Directions for Choosing a Book:

Students entering grades 6-12 will choose ONE book from the grade-specific summer reading list and complete one of the four following activities. (AP students see below)

• Students in all grades, except AP Language and English Composition 101/102, will complete one of the following assignments to accompany the summer reading book of their choosing. This assignment will be entered in the grade book as a silver grade in students’ English classes. Once back in school, students and English teachers will participate in individual and group activities concerning the books they have read. Students with IEPs will receive extra time but will not exceed two weeks beyond the due date specified on the assignment sheet.

• Students enrolled in AP Literature and English 101/102 must see Mrs. Gifford for course specific reading assignments.
