Principal: Lauren Yancey

Mrs. Yancey has over 14 years of experience in public education and was most recently serving as the school system’s assistant principal, providing support for schools across the district. Prior to that role, Mrs. Yancey served as Program Area Specialist in secondary education for Shelby County Schools.

Mrs. Yancey earned a bachelor’s degree in English, a master’s in Secondary Education and Instructional Leadership, and an educational specialist degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of Montevallo. She is also a graduate of Vincent Middle High School.

Assistant Principal: DeWanda Nelson

Mrs. Nelson is the assistant principal at Vincent Middle/High School. She has experience in public education in the areas of teaching Business Education/Career Tech, English Language Arts and all elementary content areas. Mrs. Nelson earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. She pursued both master's degrees in Educational Leadership and Elementary Education at the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama. Mrs. Nelson is married to Zachary Nelson and they have two sons, Zachary II and Zane. She believes that all children can learn and achieve, and it's not where you come from, it's where you are going.

Administrative Assistant: Landon Manning

Mr. Landon Manning is in his nineteenth year of teaching. He has spent his career at Vincent Middle High School. Mr. Manning is currently the administrative assistant and director of bands. He holds degrees from Samford University. Mr. Manning has been married for fifteen years to his wife Lindsey and they have three boys; Cooper, Sewell, and Beckett.
