Help NEEDED!!! The SES Santa Shop will open on Monday, December 9th and we need several volunteers to assist students with shopping for and wrapping their gifts. The Santa Shop will be open next Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. If you are available to assist any day, for any length of time, we would greatly appreciate it! The Santa Shop is a fun and exciting time for our students, as well as a very significant fundraiser for our school. Currently, we have a limited number of volunteers and really need your help! We're so excited for our annual Christmas program and silent auction!
Please have your students at South Shelby Baptist Church by 5:45. The program will begin at 6.
PTO will also be holding a silent auction at SSBC from 5:30-7:30. Bidding will close at 7:30.
The PTO is beginning to collect items for our silent auction. Each grade level was assigned a theme in which the classrooms are responsible for getting items donated to build the baskets. In addition to these baskets, the PTO is hoping to get additional gift certificates, hotel stays, HOME-MADE baked goods, etc. for the auction. This is one of our largest fundraisers of the year and we need your help!!! Please see the attached flyer for grade level assignments!

The Shelby Elementary School Fall Festival will be held on Thursday, November 21st after school from 3:15-5:00 p.m. The PTO needs volunteers to help set up, run the concession stand, work the booths and clean up afterwards. If you are available to help out at our festival, please sign up below! We greatly appreciate all of the volunteers and look forward to a fun filled afternoon for our students.

All Shelby County Schools will resume normal operations on Thursday, January 18. We are excited to welcome our students and staff back!
Shelby County Schools will remain closed on Wednesday, January 17 due to winter weather conditions, including the forecast of a hard freeze overnight. There are still areas of the county experiencing icy road conditions that are not likely to improve until temperatures rise above freezing midday on Wednesday. We anticipate being back to a normal school schedule on Thursday.
Due to the threat of winter weather and extreme temperatures, all Shelby County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, and students will transition to remote learning. All after-school activities are also canceled. We are also monitoring the weather for Wednesday morning and will announce school delays or closures as we receive more detailed weather information.
Due to the threat of severe weather, specifically straight-line winds causing downed trees and powerlines on Friday, January 12, all Shelby County Schools will be closed and students will transition to remote learning. All after-school activities are also canceled.
Schools will be closed on Monday, January 15 for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. We are also monitoring the weather for Tuesday morning and will announce school delays or closures as we receive more detailed weather information.
NEW Student Enrollment and RETURNING Student Registration -
S.C.O.R.E (registration program) will open for registration/enrollment of new and returning students for SY23-24 on April 10, 2023.
Spring Break Mar. 27 - 31. Schools and offices closed
