Mr. Butts has over 24 years experience in public education and was most recently serving as the Principal at New Direction/Success before becoming the Principal at Montevallo High.  

Mr. Butts earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Faulkner University and a master's degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama.  He is married to his wife Scarlett and they have two sons, Nicholas and Nathan.

Ms. Cheryl Allen has 24 years of experience in public education, and prior to administration, she worked as a visual arts teacher and school counselor. A native of Atmore, AL, Ms. Allen obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Montevallo and her Education Specialist Degree from the University of Alabama. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities and exploring the fine arts.
