In accordance with the AL State Department of Education, all students must attend school on the first day. Students who do not attend the first day of school will automatically be un-enrolled and will have to re-enroll upon return. If your student arrives to school tomorrow and the registration paperwork and proofs of residency have not been completed, then you will receive a phone call to come pick up your child and will need to make an appointment with Mrs. Emerson to re-enroll. School doors open at 7:30 a.m. The tardy bell rings at 8:10 a.m. School dismisses at 3:22 p.m. Students will enter by the gym in B hall. Seniors will report to school by 7:45 a.m. for their picture to be made in the Auditorium. Dress nicely! All students will report to HHS by 8:00 a.m., including students enrolled in Dual Enrollment, enter B hall, and go to their LEAD class. Lead classes will be posted in B Hall. Success and Morning CTEC students who need school transportation will meet the bus at the BUS LANDING at 7:30 a.m. Success students, who have transportation, may report directly to CTEC. Co-Op students will stay for the entire school day and will report to the Media Center during their Co-Op class period(s). Early Out and Dual Enrollment students (not dual enrollment with Mrs. Allinder) will stay for the entire day and meet with Mrs. Blanton in the Auditorium during their class period. Please note the cafeteria will be open from 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. for anyone wanting to eat breakfast. SUPPLIES: Students should come to school on the first day with basic supplies such as pen, pencil, paper, binder and/or pocket/folder. On the first day of school, the teachers will let the student know the specific supplies he or she will need. CHROMEBOOKS: Students who were not able to pick up a chromebook early will be allowed to check one out in the Media Center on Friday during their Science class. BUS RIDERS: If you or your child is a new bus rider to Helena High School, please fill out this form providing more information: Transportation Information. You will find a bus stop schedule in the link at the bottom of listserv. DRIVERS: You must have picked up a parking hang tag and display on the mirror of your vehicle in order to drive on campus.
