Wilsonville Elementary History
Education has played an important part in the history of the town of Wilsonville. A formal school's existence can be dated back to the late 1800's and to the early 1900's. The main building of the present school was constructed in 1919 and bricked after a fire destroyed the wooden structure. The citizens of Wilsonville built the school and made the final payment in 1952. At that time it was deeded to the State Board of Education.
In the January of 2014, the school completed renovations to the gymnasium and the library.
The city of Wilsonville and the surrounding area is served by our Elementary School for grades Pre-K - 5. Our students are then transported to the Middle and High Schools in Columbiana for grades 6 - 12.
