I am honored to serve as principal at Mt Laurel Elementary School. I received a Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University at Montgomery, a Masters degree from Troy State at Montgomery, and an Administrative Certification from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During my ten years of teaching, I taught fifth and sixth grades in Alexander City, Alabama. In 2004, my family and I moved to the Chelsea community where I began teaching fifth grade at Mt Laurel. When the school transitioned from a K-5 to a K-3 school, I decided to remain at MLES and teach first grade. In 2008, I became the assistant principal at Mt Laurel and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I am thrilled that MLES is now a K-5 school again and look forward to working with all of our wonderful students and parents this year. I feel very fortunate to be a part of such an exceptional and supportive community.

I am so excited to serve as the Assistant Principal at Mt Laurel Elementary School! I have a bachelor's degree in both general and special education from the University of Alabama and a master's degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of Montevallo. I began my career with Auburn City Schools working for Wrights Mill Road Elementary as a special education teacher for two years. We moved to the Chelsea community, and I served as a 3rd-grade teacher at Chelsea Park Elementary for five years. Most recently, I have served as a Local Reading Specialist at Oak Mountain Elementary. It is such an honor to be able to serve the amazing teachers, staff, students, and families in the MLES community. I am looking forward to a great year with all of you!
