Hello! I am Mrs. Handley and I am your child's Library Media Specialist. I live in Helena with my husband and our three children, Amelia, Jeremiah, and Josephine.
I graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008 with my bachelors in Elementary Education. I taught first grade for 13 years . While teaching, I graduated with my masters in Library Media from the University of West Alabama. I am so excited to be your Library Media Specialist!

Shelby County Schools is excited to announce Sora, a digital platform offering students access to eBooks and audiobooks. With Sora, students are able to explore a wide range of engaging, educational materials curated specifically for their grade levels by SCS librarians. Students have access to Sora on their school-issued devices via Clever. Shelby County Schools' Sora accounts are not associated with digital resources available through the public library system.
