Kindergarten is ready to color our world this week! 🖍️🎨🖌️

First day of school, here we come!

Class placement pick up starts today! Remember that an emergency contact can pick up the teacher's name but cannot verify student information or transportation. You can complete the bus form before you come: https://forms.gle/kasymHeyJSh4cm9r9
We can't wait to see you!

Shelby County Schools are now accepting meal benefit applications. Please go online at https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application to complete the meal benefit application and determine eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals.
Newly enrolled and kindergarten students will not receive a benefits notification letter until after the first day of school.
Benefits for these students will be applied on the first day of school.
All students in a household are eligible for the same level of benefits.
If you receive multiple notification letters, the greatest benefit will be applied.
Visit MYSCHOOLAPPS.COM to apply or visit https://www.shelbyed.k12.al.us/page/meal-benefits for procedures, application and pricing.

Mrs. Ford’s 4th and 5th graders have been learning about space. Their final project was to study how astronauts use robots to explore the surface of Mars. Friday, students used coding and a Dash robot to maneuver their “rovers” across rugged terrain after a dust storm on Mars. They had to use teamwork to navigate their rover safely back to the ship. It was an “out of this world” experience!
