Driver Education and Health Class

This summer the Community Education Department of Shelby County Schools will be offering Driver Education and Health classes. Health classes will be held at the Shelby County Instructional Services Center in Alabaster and Driver Education will be held at Helena High School. Classes are taught by certified high school Driver Education and Health teachers.

Driver Education students must have 50 miles of driving experience before class starts.

Health class will be at Shelby Co. Instructional Services Center in Alabaster and start at 1:30 p.m. on first day for orientation to receive packets, books and directions. Student will then do a self-directed study..

  • Driver Ed Fee: $365.00 – price includes a gas fee.
  • Health class Fee: $205.00

Driver Ed -  June/July  June 26th - July 9th
Driver Ed - July  July 10th - July 23rd
Health (First Session)   June 1st - June 22nd
Health (Second Session)  June 27th - July 18th
