Q: Summary of Program
A: Our culinary program aims to teach students the basic fundamental culinary needed to pursue a culinary degree or work in the food industry. Each year we build upon these skills by working in the culinary lab, going on industry related field trips, participating in local food competitions and partnering with Jeff State for students to take college level courses while in high school. Upon completion of our program, students have the opportunity to be ServSafe Manager certified, an industry recognized credential. We are also using the ProStart curriculum where students can obtain a ProStart certificate upon completion of the course, and this is another industry recognized certification to help our students.
