Desaree Jackson - Principal
Ms. Jackson has over twelve years of experience in education. Jackson obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s
Degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of Montevallo. She also earned an Ed.S in Educational Leadership from the University of Montevallo.
Dustin Smith - Assistant Principal
Mr. Smith is a former athletic director and lead teacher. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and English from the University of Alabama and Master of Secondary Education degree from the University of Montevallo.
Raquel Stevenson - Administrative Assistant
Ms. Stevenson brings extensive experience, insights and leadership as a former math teacher with more than twenty years of service in Shelby County Schools. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education - Mathematics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Masters degree in Educational Administration from the University of Montevallo. She looks forward to providing quality leadership, mentorship and inspiration at Calera Middle School.

The CAMS administration is available to meet with parents to answer questions and to address concerns. If you would like to schedule a conference or if you would like to speak with one of the administrators by phone, please call the school office at 682-6140. Please provide a telephone number at which you can be reached if circumstances prevent an immediate response to your call. The Calera Middle administration seeks to respond to questions on the same school day and certainly within 24 hours.
